LAGOS STATE PROJECT MONITORING TEAM COMMENDS OGIDAN’S PERFORMANCE, RATES COKER–AGUDA PROJECTS HIGH

Coker–Aguda Local Council Development Area received a significant boost in its developmental strides as the Project Monitoring Team from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs paid an official inspection visit to assess the quality and progress of projects executed by the council.
The high-level delegation, led by Sanitarian Akindele, embarked on a comprehensive tour of key project sites across the LCDA, evaluating both completed and ongoing infrastructure interventions delivered under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ogidan Azeez.
Among the critical sites inspected were the ongoing construction of the new Council Secretariat and the Legislative Building, as well as the newly completed Olamojuba Street and LA Primary School projects, where the team conducted on-the-spot technical assessments.
Speaking in a meeting after the visit, the team leader commended Hon. Ogidan for the remarkable progress recorded within a short period of less than one year in office. He particularly praised the quality and standard of the projects executed, noting that they reflect strong leadership, and a clear commitment to excellence.
“The standard of work we have seen speaks volumes about the capacity and vision of the Chairman. It reflects a leadership that prioritizes quality and sustainability,” he stated.
While acknowledging the impressive delivery, the team also observed the pace of work at the Council Secretariat project and advised that consistent technical supervision and continuity of project teams from inception to completion would not only maintain quality and timely delivery, but also ensure the standard is adherence to.
In his response, Hon. Ogidan expressed appreciation to the monitoring team for the visit, describing it as both encouraging and constructive. He attributed the current pace of work at the Secretariat site to funding constraints but reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing projects to the highest standards.
The Chairman emphasized that the achievements recorded so far have been made possible through prudent resource management, strategic prioritization, and disciplined execution of projects.
He further extended gratitude to the Vice Chairman, Councillors, and the entire management team for their steadfast support and collaboration, noting that the successes of the administration are a product of collective effort and shared vision.
Also present at the meeting are the Vice- Chairman of the Council, the Council Manager and members of the management team.
