Two youths from Okeagbe Akoko, Mr. Akinwande Ojo Peter and Mr. Ogunjobi Kehinde, popularly known as JK, have secured life-changing employment opportunities with a major oil company, following the intervention of renowned philanthropist and community leader, Dr. Oloruntobi Olalere.
The development has attracted commendation from Hon. Temitope Fagbemi, Special Adviser to the Akoko Northwest Local Government on Youth and Community Engagement, who expressed his profound appreciation to Dr. Olalere for his intervention and continued commitment to supporting young people.
In a letter signed by Hon. Fagbemi, he conveyed his deepest gratitude to Dr. Olalere for extending his helping hand and creating a life-changing opportunity for youths from Okeagbe. He also appreciated him for his consistent willingness to support members of the community and positively impact their lives.

A LIFE-CHANGING OPPORTUNITY
For Akinwande Ojo Peter, the new appointment represents a significant career breakthrough. The position comes with an impressive welfare package, including transportation, accommodation and feeding, while his monthly take-home salary is reportedly over ₦1 million.
For Ogunjobi Kehinde (JK), the opportunity is equally remarkable. His employment package includes a ₦2 million sign-on bonus, a monthly salary of over ₦1 million, as well as free accommodation, feeding and transportation.

The opportunities go beyond the financial benefits attached to the positions. For both young men, they represent a new beginning, greater financial independence and the chance to build sustainable careers while contributing to the wellbeing of their families and community.
FAGBEMI COMMENDS DR. OLALERE
Hon. Fagbemi’s appreciation underscores the wider significance of the intervention. According to the Special Adviser, creating opportunities for young people is an important form of empowerment because it gives them the platform to build their futures through meaningful employment.

He particularly thanked Dr. Olalere for always extending his hands of help, noting the positive impact such gestures can have on individuals and the wider community.
Dr. Olalere’s intervention demonstrates how philanthropy, mentorship and purposeful leadership can translate into tangible opportunities for young people. Rather than simply offering temporary assistance, creating access to sustainable employment can provide beneficiaries with the foundation to achieve long-term economic independence.
TWO TESTIMONIES, ONE MESSAGE
The stories of Akinwande Peter and Ogunjobi Kehinde are different journeys that have converged at a significant moment of opportunity.
For both youths, the employment opportunities have opened doors to a new phase of life — one filled with hope, professional growth and greater possibilities.
Their success also serves as an encouragement to other young people who may currently be waiting for their own breakthrough. It is a reminder that circumstances can change and that the right opportunity at the right time can transform a person’s trajectory.
As Okeagbe celebrates the achievements of its two sons, the community also recognises the role played by Dr. Oloruntobi Olalere in helping to make these opportunities possible.
