GOOD GOVERNANCE : AIYEDATIWA RAISES THE BAR, SPREADS JOY

At the heart of democratic governance is the need to maintain a balance between democratic ideals and the huge expectations of the people. This is particularly so in this part of the world where many elected leaders had faltered and crashed under the burden of such enormous pressure and demands, leaving the people to suffer the consequences of such leadership failure.
Therefore, it is heartwarming seeing those leaders who passed through the furnace and emerged glowingly in the discharge of their duties, to the admiration of their subjects. Without any iota of doubt, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa is eminently qualified to stake a claim among these revered ruling elite. In spite of the nature of his ascendance to power, he came prepared blending enviable leadership qualities with passion to deliver.
Today, testimonies abound across the state leaving in its trail stories of astonishing accomplishments of Mr Governor. Within this short period, he has been able to impact positively, every sector and local government focusing on developing the land and prospering the people.
For the records, road constructions are simultaneously ongoing at the sites of three dualized road projects in the state ( Igbokoda – Okitipupa, Akure – Idanre and Akungba Akoko – Ikare Akoko). In addition to these are various road projects across the state including the 5 Kms/ local government roads designed to develop grassroot communities and make life more easier for the inhabitants.
Similarly, thousands of retired civil servants in the state are smiling to the banks courtesy of full payment of four years arrears of gratuities and other emoluments to the deserved beneficiaries within a year. Others that are yet to benefit from this package are no longer despondent as they are hopeful of being paid in their lifetime.

Likewise, a fresh breath seems to have appeared on the horizon at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo following the government’s payment of the 13 – month salary arrears inherited from previous administrations. As a testament to the renewed spirit in the institution, the Polytechnic at the weekend, held the long -delayed, combine – convocation for students that graduated in the last twelve years.
The above stated interventions of the governor and many other developmental strides too numerous to mention pointed to the fact that Governor Aiyedatiwa is indeed raising the bar of good governance and utilizing the resources of the state to spread joy among the people of the state. He has given birth to a new ONDO STATE that every well – meaning citizen is proud to identify with.
Regardless of individual prejudice, bias and opinion; there is consensus around the fact that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has raised the threshold of good governance in Ondo State and it can only get better.
